Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I'm about 9 years old. My past is unknown before April 2020. I've had a lot of training though. I know basic commands, am house trained, and love to please my people.
I prefer human beds and couches with pillows but respect rules. The photo of me on top of pillows was taken in a dog friendly hotel. Notice how my front right leg doesn't bend? I had a hyperextension injury in 2022 that required a surgery called pancarpal arthrodesis. There was some bone grafting and a metal rod placed in my leg to straighten it. The surgery was successful, and now I can run around, but I can't bend that leg so I drag it when I walk & can't jump up into the car and out of the car like I used to, but I still manage!
I love balls, especially if you throw them for me to chase. I share them with dogs and people, too. If you play ball with me, take me on a short walk or play a game with me, we will be fast friends!
I'm quite smart and like to learn. I really appreciate it if you know that and include me in conversations and explain things to me. I like people and dogs. I like to play with both.
I am loyal if you show me respect, acknowledge my presence, and include me in conversations.
I love going on trips in the car; either long or short; I just want to be with my people.
I especially love to eat. I always have a good appetite and love treats!
As a German Shepherd, it's instinctive for me to guard my people, and most of the time, I am very well behaved. I hope I can find someone who understands my breed and who will love me as much as my family does now.
