My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I am a 55-lb bundle of joy, and was at the municipal shelter for 236 days before APA got me out. When I meet new people, I can't help but show my excitement with a happy, wiggly body and lots of kisses. I am guilty of getting the zommies A LOT!

I'm a goofy girl with lots of energy, and I love exploring on long walks in the desert. I'm sweet, loving, and always ready to share my happiness with you. I walk well on a leash and sit patiently for treats.

If you're looking for an energetic and affectionate companion, I might be the girl for you. First, APA is sending me to get obedience trained at their PAWS prison dog program. Then I'll be even better once I graduate!

More about this shelter

We are a progressive animal welfare group in Dona Ana County. We run an adoption center, the local pet food bank, a prison dog training program, and a thrift store. We rescue most of our animals from the municipal shelter and then ready them for adoption.
