Born Feb 2024, young Paco was dumped near the shelter with his mum Francesca. He weighs about 9 lbs, and may be a terrier dachshund cross. Paco is a friendly boy who is full of life and joy – wait until he sees just how much better the world is with a family all his own! Paco is good with dogs, and affectionate with people. Paco was tested with cats and was curious, a bit uncertain, and then eased right into it – never chasing, always polite. Paco is medium energy. We know this little dude (and his mum Francesca) will be popular. He is currently at the SPCA PV sanctuary in Mexico, and will be able to fly to Vancouver, Calgary or Edmonton (possibly also Vancouver island) or Seattle in fall when flights resume. We screen all applications and require a home check (virtual or in person) prior to placement. We charge a $550 CAD adoption fee. We provide support and check ins post placement, and solicit follow up photos and publish adoptions for our community of adopters / followers

More about this rescue

PVCA Animal Rescue is the sister organization of the SPCA Puerto Vallarta in Mexico. We facilitate the transportation and adoption of rescue dogs into loving forever homes. PVCA is a network of volunteers, transporters, and foster homes. Our sister shelter, the SPCA PV rescues, rehabilitates and promote sterilization in the Puerto Vallarta area, with the goal of eliminating the euthanasia of healthy and adoptable animals. The organizations are wholly run through donations and volunteer efforts. The dogs & cats of Mexico are too often found living on the streets after being discarded and/or extremely abused. Compassion Knows No Boundaries!
