My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet your new sea faring best friend, Captain Ryan O'Ray! Captain Ryan O'Ray is an affectionate 8-year-old gentleman with a heart full of charm and a playful spirit. This distinguished fellow is neutered and has been a delight to foster. He settled in right away and is comfortable with us as well as a few new people he has had the chance to meet. He is timid around fast movement or loud noise.

Ryan is a social cat who loves being around people. While he’s not a lap cat, he enjoys being close by and will happily keep you company as you go about your day. He is also a fan of scratching posts and enjoys being held while you walk around.

Captain O’Ray also has a playful side that will keep you entertained! He loves playing catch with his toy soccer balls and loves to play in water, whether that’s his water dish, duck pond, or any other body of water!

According to PAWS’ observations he’s good with kids and has a history of getting along well with low-key cats, although he can be a bit impatient with too much petting and might give a gentle swipe if he’s had enough. Because of this, he’d probably do best in a home with older or no children. He should be in a home without dogs or high-energy cats.

Ryan has a mild heart murmur, but it doesn’t hold him back from enjoying life. He’s also on a special prescription diet for food sensitivities that will need to be continued. He is currently on gabapentin mixed into his food. While he seems to be adjusting well, any changes to his medication should be discussed with your vet/PAWS. He tested negative for FeLV/FIV this month and is otherwise in good health.

If you’re looking for a sweet, engaging companion who will be your loyal shadow and add a touch of playfulness to your life, Captain Ryan O'Ray is your perfect match!
