My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Please contact Trinady Maddock (trinady.maddock@luckydoganimalrescue.org) for more information about this pet.Handsome kitten Peter needs a forever home!

PETER AND PEPPER NEED A FOREVER HOME!

Name: Peter  Best Guess for Breed: Domestic Short Hair

Age: Estimated DOB: 4/29/24

SEX: Male      Approximate Weight: 3 lbs as of 7/29/24

Coloring: Brown Tabby   Type of Hair: Short

Litter: Pepper. Peter is bonded with Pepper, so they must be adopted together so they can snuggle for life!

Gets Along With: Because of his young age, Peter will likely get along with other cats, dogs and kids with an acclimation period.  We’re happy to help with tips and tricks!

Currently Living at: Foster in the DC area

I am Looking For: My loving forever family! Hi! I'm Peter, and I am a cute little kitten! I won’t ask for much- just some love, cuddles and lots of toys so I can run and play and be my kitten self. Two kittens are better than one, and I'd love to be adopted with my super cute sibling, Pepper!

What My Foster Says About MePeter is so sweet and cuddly! He's a talkative boy that will chat you up when hungry. He loves to be near you and get lots of attention. He is curious and loves playing with his brother. He is so loved here as he and his brother, Pepper, are the sweetest: purr machine, always ok with being picked up in any way. Peter will sometimes come on your lap, or very close to you anyway. During the night, he actually enjoys crawling under your blanket and sleeping in the curve of your legs until he's too warm. Then he'll come on top of the blanket. Peter is also an extremely good hunter. He chases his little toys and quickly catches them when in the air. You need to be careful not to trip over them as they follow you like little dogs. Peter & Pepper come as a pair, and the best way to meet them would be to ask for meet & greet in person at the foster's home.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

The adoption process begins when you submit an adoption application either online or at an adoption event. The individual responsible for the dog you are interested in adopting - a position we call the “adoption coordinator” - will then set up a time to discuss your application over the telephone. The adoption coordinator will check your vet reference to make sure all current and past pets were kept up-to-date with their shots and medical care. The adoption coordinator will also set up a home visit with one of our trained volunteers. That individual will come to your home to ensure that it is a safe environment, to confirm that everyone in the home is on board with adopting a dog, and to discuss any other questions you may have about dog adoption!

Our adoption events are held each weekend. A schedule of times and locations can be found at www.luckydoganimalrescue.org.
