My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Colby and his litter mates were brought to the shelter at a very young age, around 4 weeks. They were too young to be away from mama, but mama wasn't able to care for them very well, as they were in pretty rough shape. Two of them weren't able to hold on, but Colby is one of the survivors. He was nursed back to health in a great foster home and is best buddies with his brother, Callum. He's a little on the shy side, but such a sweet boy! All PAWS cats must keep their claws, no declawing please :)

Their adoption process

1.

Visit the Facility and Find a Pet

Find pets online or in person. We do encourage meet and greets with our pets to see how they fit into your lifestyle.

2.

Submit Application

We also require a vet reference if you have a current one, and 2 personal references, with names and phone numbers to call.

3.

Approve Application

If references check out, you will be approved for adoption.

4.

Take the Pet Home

We have a 2-week trial visit for dogs. We hold your paperwork/adoption fee and you take the dog up to 2 weeks to get to know each other.

5.

Sign Adoption Contract

At any point during the trial visit time, we will final the adoption only after you let us know that "he or she is ours"!
