For Adopt a Pet and the PEDIGREE® brand, October is all about finding homes for dogs in shelters. Adopt this month for a PEDIGREE® Wet Food Pouch and a chance to win a Homecoming-style photo shoot and shelter donation.
If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Meet the confident Oswald! He loves to explore the world around him through smell and he sniffs things very intently. He may be an independent goof, but he is an active cuddler. He started as a stray that followed us home. We took him to the vet, got him on a steady diet, and treated him for fleas. We estimate he is between a year and a half to two years old.
Oswald would love a home that has a lot of toys and puzzles. His favorite toys are small things that he can hunt. He does well with clicker training, as he is treat-motivated.
We have made the difficult choice of rehoming him because of his tense relationship with our first cat. She is shy and finds Oswald annoying and intimidating. She has made it very clear that she would rather be the only four-legged friend in the home. We want him to have the freedom to sniff, explore, and be a goofy guy.
He already has an automatic feeder and fountain that will help make him comfortable in his new home.
