Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Reef, a 7-month-old Great Pyrenees mix with a luxurious white coat sprinkled with spots of gold—like she’s been kissed by the sun itself. This little lady came to us after she and her siblings were picked up as strays and brought to the shelter, but despite her rough start, Reef has blossomed into a sweet, loving pup who’s ready to find her forever home. If she were a flavor of ice cream, she'd be Butterfinger: a mix of sweetness, a little crunch, and a dash of unpredictable fun.
Reef is the kind of pup who believes in living life with a balance—she’s all about those lazy mornings where you lounge in your PJs, but when the afternoon comes, she’s ready to bounce around and show off her playful side. She’s got a soft spot for kids (preferably those who can handle a bit of Pyr pawing), and she’s the type to strike up a friendship with just about any dog, as long as they understand that personal space is a thing—sometimes. Reef's idea of a great day includes a game of tug-of-war with her canine pals, followed by a good chew session on her favorite toys. And while she’s still mastering the art of leash walking, she’s already got the car ride part down—just give her a minute to settle in and she’s all set for the journey.
Now, let’s talk about that Pyr DNA. Reef has inherited the classic “selective hearing” trait of her ancestors, which means that when you call her, you might get an ear twitch, but don’t expect a speedy response. She’s a quick learner when it comes to what she wants to learn—like where you keep the treats—but she’s also a puppy, so if you catch her chewing on something she shouldn’t, just remind her of what’s off-limits and she’ll figure it out eventually. As for barking, she’s got a bit of that too, especially when there’s something interesting (like a rabbit or an unexpected noise) on the other side of the fence. Apartment living could be in her future, but only if you don’t mind the occasional loud commentary. When it comes to house manners, Reef is doing pretty well for a puppy! She’s potty trained and knows her way around a kennel like a pro
Reef’s heart is as big as her paws, and despite her rough start, she’s blossomed into a sweet, affectionate pup who’s ready to find her forever home. Whether she’s sitting quietly by your side while you stroke her soft fur or reminding you that she’s still a puppy with a penchant for a little mischief, Reef is a special girl who’s just waiting to share her love and joy with the right family. So if you’re looking for a pup who’s part cuddle-bug, part playful adventurer, and 100% adorable, Reef might just be the one for you!
