Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Zen is a 3-year-old, male domestic shorthair cat. He has a sister, Vi, who is also listed on this site. They are a bonded pair and need to be rehomed together.
Zen and his sister are being rehomed because they have not been getting along with our dogs and we're getting more concerned about everyone's safety. We introduced Vi and Zen to the dogs when they were still kittens, and everybody got along during the first year or so. But as the cats got older, the dogs have been getting more stressed out around them. More resource guarding between them. Etc. It's been three years now and things still aren't improving
Zen is shy and will often hide when new people are around. But once he feels settled in, he likes to hang out on the sofa and "make biscuits" on anything soft nearby. He's not as vocal as his sister and doesn't play with toys too often. He prefers to hunt for insects around the house. He's bigger than his sister and does bully her sometimes.
