My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Maggie!?
How come a gorgeous girl like you haven't gotten adopted yet?

Well - the fact that Maggie is a gorgeous (non-pitbull) dog is part of the problem! Adopters applying for Maggie wants a pretty, fun and easy big dog.

But Maggie is infact a full-sized Chihuahua.

There is nothing wrong with this sweetheart - she LOVES other dogs, is completely potty trained, healthy, active and fun. Maggie just doesn't want to be touched until you've known each other for QUITE a while. And even then, a snarl might come out of nowhere.

She is happy and content at the shelter, but will easily adapt to your household of active dogs and hands-off owners.

Been around a grumpy cat before? Chihuahuas? Pekingese? Why do we as a society understand that small dogs can be delicate to handle, yet we require big dogs to allow all handling all the time?

Maggie is special, but not overwhelming. She is extremely rewarding to interact with, although touch is not her love language!

Included in the adoption fee of $275 is up to date vet care, microchip, vaccines, dewormer. She is spayed and ready for meet and greets!

Apply to foster-to-adopt Maggie, we will be there for you the whole way: rebeldogsdetroit.com/applytoadopt
