Doris is an exceptionally easy-going kitten who is looking for a home and someone to love her forever! She enjoys lounging on the screened in area where she can enjoy the Florida breezes and everything going on around her. She welcomes attention from staff, volunteers and even strangers. Doris also gets along great with the other kittens in her house and certainly would not mind sharing her forever home with another kitty or two.

The Animal Refuge Center (ARC) of Fort Myers is a not for profit animal welfare society dedicated to stopping the escalating cost to impound, care for, kill and dispose of dogs and cats dying for no reason other than having been born. ARC is helping to cut the large numbers of homeless animals which eventually cuts the costs to taxpayers, which to date has reached over half a million dollars a year.

ARC is a non-euthanasia organization. Once we accept an animal for adoption, IT WILL NOT BE DESTROYED TO MAKE ROOM FOR ANOTHER. We are here to help the unwanted and neglected animals who now face certain death.
