Meet Greta, the sweetest little lady you`ll ever encounter! Despite her past, she has an incredible spirit and is ready to find her forever home. Greta is a bit shy with new women at first, but once she warms up, she’ll shower you with gentle kisses, tail wags, and playful moments.
This lovely girl needs a home without men or children, as she feels safest that way. Greta would thrive in a quiet environment with a fenced-in yard where she can explore and play. She is potty trained and has shown that she can be trusted to roam freely when you’re away.
Greta adores other dogs and learns so much from them, especially when it comes to navigating new experiences like going up and down stairs. Once she trusts you, she’ll enjoy happily being your shadow, greeting you with excitement when you come home and sleeping at your feet in bed at night.

We believe that bringing a new pet into your home is an important decision so you’ll have plenty of time to make your decision without feeling rushed. Staff and volunteers will be available throughout this time to answer any questions you may have. Once you’ve made your choice, an adoption counselor will review the adoption contract with you.
You’ll pay the adoption fee. Then you’ll take your new family member home with you!

TAILS Humane Society is a limited admission animal shelter providing a safe haven for almost 2,400 animals each year. We are committed to providing each animal the time and medical care they need to have their best chance at adoption.
TAILS was established in 1999 by a group of local animal advocates dedicated to bringing a comprehensive animal shelter to DeKalb. We operated out of an old farmhouse until 2005 when we cut the ribbon on our Barber Greene facility. In 2009, we opened our low cost Spay/Neuter Clinic providing quality, affordable sterilization services to the public. We continue to grow and strengthen our programs and service as we continue to save lives.
