Welcome to the world baby Peach! Georgia and her newborn pup were rescued from a horrible breeding situation the day after Peach was born. They are an absolute dream team, and everything happy, healthy Shih Tzus can be. Georgia is a fantastic, very smart mother, who loves, cares for, and plays with her pup in the sweetest and gentlest way. She is very friendly and loves being with people and receiving all the love and affection she was denied for the first part of her life. Peach’s cuteness is off the charts. She is thriving and is as curious, sweet, and playful as you would expect from a young puppy.

Georgia is about 2 1/2 years old and 11-12 pounds. Peach was born on 7/9/24. At the time of writing this description, she is 7 weeks old and 2 pounds. We are keeping this mom/daughter pair together as they are close in age and truly love and delight in each other. The first step in adopting from Shih Tzu Rescue is to fill out an application on our website at shihtzurescue.org

2.
Visit the Facility and Find a Pet

Once your application has been approved we will schedule an appointment for you to visit our shelter and dogs and take home with you.

Additional adoption info

We have an adoption contract that must be completed and approved. We require vet and personal references as well home checks. Our normal response time is approximately 7 to 10 working days. Our Adoption Committee works very hard to place our dogs in environments where they will be most likely to succeed. Please understand that we have more applications than we do dogs and that if you do not hear from us within that timeframe, we currently do not have a dog who we feel would match your needs.

Our fee includes neuter or spay, all shots, and snap test for heartworm/erlichia/lyme. We take care of whatever their medical needs might be before they are adopted. WE ADOPT TO ALL OF FLORIDA AS WELL AS OTHER STATES. WE DO NOT SHIP
