My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

If you're looking for a bundle of joy with a dash of mischief, Munch is the kitten for you! This adorable black kitten has a personality as captivating as his glossy fur. With his bright, inquisitive eyes and playful antics, Munch is sure to bring endless fun and laughter to your home.

Munch's Favorite Things:

Chasing Toys: Munch is a little athlete, always ready to pounce on feather toys and chase after laser pointers. His playful nature will keep you entertained for hours!
Snuggling: When he's not zooming around, Munch loves to curl up in your lap or nestle next to you on the couch. He's a pro at turning any moment into a cozy snuggle session.
Exploring: Munch's curiosity knows no bounds. He's always eager to explore new spaces, climb onto furniture, and investigate every nook and cranny.
Special Traits:

Sociable: Munch gets along wonderfully with other pets and people. His friendly nature makes him a great addition to any family.
Quick Learner: He's a smart little guy who is eager to learn and adapt. Training him will be a breeze with treats and patience.
Low Maintenance: With his sleek black coat, Munch doesn't require much grooming. A quick brush now and then will keep him looking his best.
Ideal Home:

Munch would thrive in a loving home where he can play, explore, and be showered with affection. Whether you're a single professional, a couple, or a family with kids, Munch is ready to be a cherished member of your household. He's looking for a home where he can grow, play, and share lots of love and snuggles.

Additional adoption info

Our adoption process is designed with the pet and the family in mind. We look to make the process as easy and efficient as possible for our adopters, while also preserving the key safeguards that ensure we place our kitties with loving homes they can be sure to stay with forever. Sometimes we may ask for a virtual home visit via video or FaceTime to gain more insight into what kind of kitty will best fit your lifestyle and environment.

Go meet their pets

Friends of Normie is an entirely foster based rescue so all of our adoptable cats reside with their foster families who are located across Orange, LA, San Bernardino, and San Diego counties. We have a kitty for every family and locale, so we will work to match you with a feline friend who matches both your desires and your location.

More about this rescue

It all started in 2020 when Friends of Normie founder Ladan Davia found a mother cat and six kittens on the side of the road. All of the shelters and rescues she called in hopes of ensuring this feline family’s safety told her to leave them outside or that they were at capacity. So Ladan went to her local hardware store, bought a trap, and set up a makeshift shelter for the seven cats in her bathroom.

Through the local cat network Ladan got connected to Marla, a rescuer with 25 years of rescue experience. Together, they rescued thousands of cats over the next two years, setting the foundation for what Friends of Normie is today. Without a physical facility, Marla and Ladan utilized a network of committed volunteer fosters to give new rescues temporary, loving homes until they were adopted. Along the way, FON harnessed the power of social media to mobilize the Southern California cat community.

This community began to gain traction as more and more people began following its journey. Today, Friends of Normie has over 40,000 followers who support the rescue and collectively help cats get matched with fosters and adopters quickly.
