My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Neil is a petite little 6 lb yorkie who is just a happy go lucky fella. He is very small and fits in nicely with other dogs in the home. Neil was used as a breeder dog in Mexico. He is very social and loves to be carried around.

He is quick on his feet for a little guy. He likes to lay on the couch next to you. His hearing doesn't seem to be the best, or he is just doing a good job ignoring me sometimes.

He just got neutered and is working on potty training. He will potty outside when you take him out but not to be trusted loose in the house yet. He is kennel trained but will also gladly sleep in bed with you. He does great with dogs his size and ones who don't growl at him.

Our adoption process involves completing a one-page adoption application. Applications are processed within 48 hours.

Adoption fees for cats/kittens are $130.00. All cats/kittens have been wormed, altered, tested for feline leukemia, given age-appropriate vaccinations, and are microchipped.

Adoption fees for dogs/puppies are $300.00 All dogs/puppies have been wormed, altered, tested for heart worm, given age-appropriate vaccinations, and are microchipped.

We also offer our Senior for Senior program matching senior animals to people over the age of 63. Adoption fees are waived for this program.

More about this rescue

Camp Companion is a 501c3 organization established in 2003.

Based in Rochester MN, the organization is totally driven by volunteers.

Camp Companion is dedicated to providing low-cost spay and neuter services for feral, farm and stray companion animals. The organization is funded solely by donations, fundraisers, grants, and adoption fees. All funds we receive are used for veterinary expenses and the cost of care incurred for the animals waiting for their forever homes.

Through our spay / neuter efforts, we encounter kittens and stray domestic cats that need rescue services and a forever home. We have no shelter, but rely on foster homes to care for these rescued pets. Every animal we offer for adoption is spayed or neutered.
