A276195 Squirrel came to PCACC as a stray with a collar that said “mommy says I’m special.” Sadly no one ever claimed her... Squirrel has been extremely fearful since being in the shelter and has only just started to come out of her shell and let us get to know her.
Squirrel needs an experienced adopter or rescue where someone can work through her fear of people and other dogs. She should be an only dog unless someone can reliably separate and integrate slowly. She can be very defensive meeting people on leash, but once in the yard she is very shy and shut down to new people. Once she has had a chance to settle and observe her surroundings she is a very affectionate zoomie sweet girl.
Squirrel appears to be around 1.5 years old and only 37lbs.
