My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Oscar is a charming young feline who was found as a stray in March 2024. At the time, he was estimated to be around 1 year old. Despite his large 14-pound frame, Oscar is full of energy and playfulness. He adores his scratching posts, loves climbing his trees, and enjoys keeping a watchful eye on his neighborhood from his various window perches. When it's time to wind down, he’s happiest snuggling up for a nap with his foster.

Oscar is also a social butterfly with his fellow felines. His confident and laid-back demeanor makes him a hit with other cats. He’s great at easing the nerves of more timid cats, often lying down to make them feel comfortable. He thrives in the company of other young cats who enjoy both playtime and relaxation.

One area where Oscar could use a bit of extra patience is in learning the boundaries between human and toy play. He sometimes confuses human arms and legs for play objects, but he responds well to verbal reminders and is making progress in redirecting his playful behavior towards toys. Oscar’s playful tendencies are a result of his missed early socialization, so he’ll need a patient adult-only home where he can continue to learn and grow.

If you’re looking for a sweet, energetic companion who loves to play and cuddle, and you have the patience to guide him as he learns the ropes, Oscar might just be the perfect addition to your home. With the right environment, at least one other young cat and a little guidance, Oscar will blossom into the best kitty roommate ever!

All cats have had a vet exam, are up to date on vaccinations, have been given a dewormer and treated for fleas and ear mites if needed. Oscar has been neutered, microchipped, and tested negative for FIV/FELV. If you are interested in meeting Oscar, please go to our website and fill out a cat application.
