My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Sacha was taken in by the Animal Rescue Network following the death of her owner, a long-time shelter volunteer. She arrived in foster care with her sister Ginny on April 17, 2024. Sacha quickly got used to her new environment, but she remains a shy cat. Although she tolerates the young cat in the house well, Sacha doesn't want to play with her, probably because of her age. Sacha is very affectionate and has taken to habit of climbing onto the sofa for attention and cuddles when her human sits on it. If the caresses don't come quickly enough, she shows you her cute side and it's absolutely irresistible. Every day, around lunch and dinnertime, she, like Ginny, comes to remind us that it's time for treats, and waits patiently for them to be placed near her. Since her Sacha hasn't sought out Ginny's presence, giving us the impression that she could be the impression that she could be adopted without her in a home with or without cats. Sacha is a senior cat, therefore the adoption fees for her are $175. She is sterilized, vaccinated, microchipped and negative for feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) and feline leukemia (FeLV). You will also be provided with health insurances for the first 6 weeks following adoption. You will also have access to the support of the adoption team for as long as you need it. You will also have access to a free 30 minutes video consultation during the first month following the adoption with our cat behaviour consultant FelineGood (  https://www.felinegood.ca  ).

In order to get a chance to adopt her, please fill out our adoption directly on our website:   https://www.reseausecoursanimal.org/contacts/adoption-form/

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

All new adoption homes are carefully screened to determine if they are suitable. There is an adoption fee that includes the sterilization, initial vaccination of every animal, testing for FIV and FeLV of all cats at the shelter, and a 21 days trial period. A contract is always signed between the ARN and the adopter for their protection. A follow-up by an ARN adoption coordinator is often done either by telephone or by visit, and we also offer help/cousel for the life of the cat.
