My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

MEET SWEET HONEE!

Honee came to LOCRA in December 2023 with her two siblings. They had been cared for in someone's garage for the first ten months of their lives. They were semi-feral when we received them. They were soooo afraid. Their foster Mom has had them since late December. They have come around to trusting her. Time, love and patience was key. Plus Churu treats. Honee is a shy girl who needs that special someone who will take it slow and gain her trust. You will be abundantly rewarded. She now sleeps cuddled up to her foster every night, but please do not pick her up. Honee has never been around other pets, except for her siblings. So, we don't know how that would work out. However, she is now a sweet lap kitty. Honee doesn't like to be picked up. But she will come to her foster Mom when she makes a kissing noise and pats the seat next to her. She loves to lie like a baby in your arms and curl up for pets and scratchies. She responds with gentle purrs, looking deep into your eyes and doing happy feet on your chest. She enjoys her tower and corrugated scratching board. Especially if you put a sprinkling of catnip on it. She is great with her litter and not a fussy eater. She enjoys Churu treats every morning. Honee is very quiet. She doesn't have a lot to say. But her huge, gold eyes say a lot. If you've always wanted a sleek, black Panther, Honee could be the cat for you.

All of our cats and kittens are spayed/neutered, microchipped, tested for FIV/FELV , and up to date on vaccinations including rabies, distemper, and dewormer.

You can meet some of our adorable cats and kittens during store hours at PetSmart, 385 Haggerty Rd. in Commerce Township.

If you are interested in adopting one or more of our lovable cats, please complete an Adoption Application form which can be found on our website at   www.locrami.com under Forms/Applications.

More about this rescue

We branched off of another rescue group in Oct of 2015, in order to concentrate solely on cats and kittens. We are a 501c3 foster-based group of dedicated volunteers, and our mission is finding homes for stray, abandoned, no longer wanted cats and kittens. We are a foster-based Rescue, meaning we have no brick and mortar facility. All our cats are cared for by foster caregivers in loving homes. We give medical help to sick and injured cats as needed. Donations, grants, and adoption fees are our sole means of income for our group. Volunteers are always welcomed and needed.
