Giovanna & Angelina: Why Haven’t These Sisters Been Adopted Yet?!
It’s hard to believe these two beautiful tiger-striped sisters are still waiting for their forever home! Giovanna and Angelina are the last of their litter still with us, and we just know the right family is out there, ready to give them the love they deserve. Could that family be yours?
Born on June 28, 2024, these playful, affectionate girls are just over 5 months old—still very much kittens and full of energy and curiosity. They love chasing each other, pouncing on toys, and finding joy in every little thing. After a fun-filled play session, you’ll find them curled up together in a cozy spot, purring contentedly.
Giovanna (Black Collar): Giovanna is our little shadow. She has to be where the action is, whether it’s helping our volunteers scoop litter boxes, inspect the heat system, or organize supplies. She’s outgoing, curious, and always eager to “lend a paw.” This girl thrives on human interaction and will keep you smiling with her adventurous spirit.
Angelina (Purple Collar): Angelina is just as loving and playful as her sister. She adores people, loves being part of the action, and is always ready for a snuggle or a play session. With her soft, sweet nature and playful energy, she’ll win your heart in no time.
These sisters share a special bond and love snuggling and playing together. We’d love to see them adopted as a pair—they truly bring out the best in each other, and what’s better than two bundles of purring, playful joy?
Health & Adoption Details:
DOB: 6/28/2024 (5 months old); Tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV; Fully spayed and up to date on all vaccinations; Treated for fleas and worms & both have negative fecal tests.
These girls deserve to spend their first Christmas in a home filled with love. Let’s make their holiday wish come true—a forever home where they can grow, play, and snuggle together!
Could Giovanna & Angelina be the perfect addition to your family? Fill out an adoption application today and help them find their Christmas miracle!

Additional adoption info
Our adoption fees vary between adults and kittens. Our kittens come with an age appropriate program (provided through certificate) for our veterinarian only.
We make sure all our cats receive a health screening, tested for feline aids and feline leukemia when appropriate ages, spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated for rabies (1yr), distemper and leukemia.
We also worm and flea treat all of our cats, again all as age appropriate. We also treat any cat/kitten that comes to our sanctuary for any illnesses present, or that develop while in our care.
We require an appointment for adopting, as well as a verifiable veterinarian reference, which we require prior to scheduling an actual adoption visit.
We contact your veterinarian reference to insure our cats/kittens are being placed in responsible, loving homes.
Additionally, we require a cat carrier be brought to the adoption appointment for transport home. No laundry baskets, boxes, lap holding, is acceptable. No exceptions.
We have a private shelter address other than our mailing address which is featured on this site. Many of our cats are in foster care, so appropriate appointments need to be made with proper foster families. Our cats are featured on our website as well as PetFinder.com and our Facebook page.

Call us at 419-289-3658 to schedule an appointment. Because our cats are not used to cages, they do not travel to adoption events.
Caged cats become scared when people poke at them through the bars. How would you like that? So we want you to come and see them in their natural environment.
We try to accommodate any time frame within reason.

More about this rescue
There are people in this world who love all different kinds of animals for different reasons. We love them all and then we are passionate about others. We are passionate about cats. There are next to no shelters in Ashland Ohio that take in cats and the population is out of control.
So instead of sitting around and saying "someone should do something, we decided to do something" and built a sanctuary in 2005.
We originally housed 60 homeless/abandoned cats then expanded in 2008 to house 90. At one point we had 110, added another apartment and got the numbers back down to 90.
100% of your donation goes directly to the care of our cats, we have NO paid staff. As the director, I supplement the money we need to run the shelter and do not receive a salary to do so.
It is critical for us to receive outside financial support. We are a 501(c)(3) charity so any donations may be tax deductible.
Make a difference in a cat's life, donate today! We are a dedicated group of volunteers; myself included, who consider this our God given talent and we serve gladly.
