Frank, affectionately known as Frankie, is a 5-month-old male Labrador Retriever with strikingly, vivid blue eyes! He could have some Husky in him, but we don't know for sure. Frank was born on 3/24/24 in a litter of 11. His mom and siblings are also posted on this site.
Frank is blonde with some white and has short soft fur. He is all puppy; loves to run, play, wrestle, eat and get tummy rubs. He would be fine with other dogs and kids. He seems fine when the outdoor cat is just outside the fence from each other. When full grown, he should be between 55-65lbs. Frank would make a great family pet or companion with just some basic obedience skills. He will be ready to travel on the next transport Sept 12th. He is neutered, microchipped and UTD on his vaccines.
Frank's momma, Dixie, is a 12-month-old, female, Labrador Retriever. Unfortunately, Dixie had very neglectful owners who never cared for her properly, including taking her to a vet. She had a litter of 11 puppies at only 10 months old. After 2 of the puppies died, Dixie started going downhill, suffering from malnutrition, fleas, double ear infections and overall weakness. Fortunately, Wags to Riches Rescue and Rehab was able to take Dixie in, along with her puppies. Half the litter are yellow and half are black, like their Mom and Cooper! Dixie (also available for adoption)!
At wags to riches, we pride ourselves on having the lowest prices of any rescue while doing the most for our dogs. Being a very small organization, we are a 2-woman show, have no overhead, and work hard to give our dogs the most loving home possible. Because we are so small with limited volunteers, we have to use an external transport company (if you don't want to drive to Alabama to get your dog( to transport the dog to Maryland/PA/VA area. He charges $150 per dog. This cost would be in addition to the adoption fee.

Complete and submit our online application. List the dog(s) that you are interested in by order.

Approve Application
You will be contacted by Brett or Robin when a decision is made on your application. You should hear back in a few days.

Interview
A call with Brett or Robin to determine if the dog is the right fit for your family.

Take the Pet Home
When you pick up your dog, you should be prepared with a leash, carrier, and treats/water.

Pay Fee
The total adoption fee is $350. This covers TRANSPORT, deworming, all vaccinations, flea/tick prevention, spay/neuter, and health certifica

Wags to Riches Rescue & Rehab is a small but dedicated organization who believe that humans can truly be a voice for the voiceless animals who have been abused, neglected, or abandoned. We are not a big organization, we have zero overhead, and our administrative costs are nothing more than an ice-cream cone here and there for the many kids (and adults) who volunteer! That means every dollar goes directly to saving dogs……one dog, one day at a time.
