Jacie arrived from the city pound on August 23rd when her legal hold time was finished. She is a big mixed breed girl who looks like she could be part Doberman and German shepherd, among other possible breeds. She is a loving and sensitive dog and we're guessing she's 1-2 years old. She has been vet checked and spayed and her fee is $150.
Jacie is a happy go lucky, fun dog. She enjoys the company of people and is kind of like a puppy in a large body. She seems pretty unbothered by the noise of the shelter environment and has shown no reactivity. She seems pretty well mannered but does need a little basic training. She loves to give and receive affection. We do think she would do okay with a respectful male dog. We don't know how she would do with cats. Older kids would probably be best due to her large size (she's not that graceful).
NOTE: Adoptions are done via private appointment once an application has been completed and approved. Applications must be submitted at our website, mchs.rescuegroups.org. Keep an eye on your emails if you apply.
We are located at 101 22nd St. SE in Austin, right next to the airport. It's exit 180B off of I-90, right off of 218 South.
We do require that potential adopters be at least 21 years old and that any resident dogs be up to date on vaccinations, heartworm testing/preventatives, and spayed or neutered.
