My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How this pet arrived:
Lily was brought in by their previous owner.

Why Lily might be the one for you:
Lily is a special girl with a contagious zest for life! She is a naturally happy girl who will greet you with excitement each and every time. She thrives on both mental and physical enrichment, making her the perfect companion for an active owner. Lily lived with another dog in her previous home but due to her energy level we think she would do best as the only dog in a home and better without small animals or young children. Maybe that means she is a diva. If so, she is a goofy diva who tugs on your heartstrings.

At SDHS:
Lily has been vaccinated, microchipped and spayed/neutered and is now ready for her new home!

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
