My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Marx, the sweetest boy looking for his forever or foster home. This resilient and affectionate pup has come a long way since he was found pleading for help on a porch, his body covered in bloody wounds. Marx has proven just how strong his spirit is, and now he’s ready to start a new chapter in a home where he can thrive.

Marx is a snuggle champion at heart, always preferring the company of people over other animals. He loves curling up in your lap, basking in your attention and affection. He’s also a social butterfly who enjoys outings, especially to coffee shops, where he can charm new friends with his wagging tail and request pets from everyone he meets.

Although Marx is affectionate and cuddly, he also has an active and playful side. He loves long walks, tug-of-war, and playing chase or wrestling with his furry friends—though he’d prefer to have female dogs as companions, as he’s not a fan of male dogs. Marx is also incredibly smart and eager to learn; he’s already housebroken and knows basic commands, and he’s always ready to pick up new tricks.

When it comes to food, Marx is a healthy eater with a fondness for sweet potatoes, bananas, apples, and strawberries. He’s curious about what you’re eating and will happily try new treats. Marx is great with kids, though he would do best in a home with children over six. While he’s brave, he’s also sensitive—he’s not reactive to passing dogs on walks, but loud noises or strong winds can startle him.

Marx is a special boy who just wants to be close to his people, learn, and share all the love he has to give. If you’re looking for a loyal best friend, cuddle buddy, and adventure partner, Marx is waiting to meet you.

Adoption is $275, which includes spay/neuter at our vet, vaccines, dewormer, microchip, and clean bill of health. Although we work to potty train all of our dogs, we cannot guarantee full house training before adoption. Regression is a normal part of transitioning to a new home and we want our adopters to be prepared for that!
