Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Sadie is a beautiful 6 year old female domestic shorthair. She is a loving and affectionate cat. She is a senior cat who loves to spend time lounging. Her favorite thing to do is sunbath and watching out the window. Sadie would fit well in a quiet home with older children and lots of windows to sit by. Any family with lots of love to give will make her a happy cat. Sadie does well with other cats and gets along with small dogs. She likes her own space and peace, she is independent. Sadie had a dental (teeth extraction) done before she was brought to our facility. She will need to eat wet food.
If you are not located near our rescue or if the drive is a problem for you, please still apply, as we bring animals out to as far as San Diego in order to bring them to their forever homes. Currently, we are driving animals far out on an as-needed basis!
If an animal is posted from us, they are AVAILABLE, however we sometimes do already have an adopter in place to meet them - however, please apply directly ASAP to ensure you get considered to meet them! We approve based on the best home, not first-come-first-serve.
If you are interested in adopting and think you can provide a great home for this pet, please complete an online application so that we can better assess if this pet is a good match for you and your family. Once that is complete and we've approved you, we can set up a time for you to meet your potential companion for life! We are strictly by appointment-only. We apologize if you cannot reach us via phone, it is a personal phone # - we recommend emailing at cats@vida4animals.org for the quickest response. We apologize if we do not get to you quickly - we only have a few staff and volunteers, and we must focus on finding our animals good homes, but if you would like to help us improve and volunteer, let us know!

More about this rescue
Volunteers in Defense of Animals (VIDA) is a 501c3 and consists of a small group of volunteers and a network of foster homes. We help find homes for homeless dogs and cats, care and protect neglected and abused animals. We are working to end the suffering and mistreatment of dogs and cats in Southern California. We bring spay and neuter services to areas where families cannot afford them; we facilitate the rescue, foster care, and adoption of animals whenever possible, and we offer education and support to those involved in the care of animals.
