My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello there! I am Linda and if you are looking for a feline companion to spend your days with, you are in luck! My kitten days are far behind me, but I still have all the energy needed to help you in whatever you are doing. Are you baking a cake? I'll be right there to help you measure out ingredients. Doing some work on the computer? I can stay by your side just in case you need extra support. Want to relax and listen to some records? I would love to do that too! I really want to find a family that will include me in their lives. Come by and see me at Woods in Atascadero, we can share some crunchy treats and make a day of it!

More about this shelter

Founded in 1955, Woods Humane Society is a nonprofit organization which receives no tax funds, but is supported by donations, grants, bequests, fundraising events and fees for services. Woods is independent of San Luis Obispo County Animal Services, but works in close cooperation with them and other animal groups in the county for the welfare of all animals.

Woods now cares for over 3,000 cats and dogs each year at our facilities in San Luis Obispo and Atascadero until they can be united with loving forever families. We bring in animals from other shelters where they are less likely to be adopted and from individuals who are no longer able to care for their pets. Woods is committed to finding loving homes for all healthy and treatable pets, no matter how long it takes. With our behavior and veterinary resources, we are able to go the extra mile for animals in need.
