My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Dueck is looking for his emotional support human! This friendly, gentle, and playful guy has anxiety, but finds reassurance being around his favourite people. Dueck is a former stray who realizes he's landed the lucky life indoors. He loves food, chasing treats, and his toys... anything is a toy for this creative kitty.

Other hobbies include watching the neighborhood go by and getting brushed on his belly. On first arrival in a new space, Dueck will take longer than normal to feel confident, but patience and gentle encouragement from his new family will make you his friend for life. Guests have marveled at how friendly and confident he has become in just a couple months.

Dueck will thrive as the only pet in a quieter home with older children to play and cuddle with. During the day, Dueck likes to hang out nearby whoever's around without getting in the way, but once work ends, he will insist on some couch snuggles or playtime. He's a curious cat who likes to keep tabs on what's happening around the house and provides quiet companionship and playful amusement in equal measure. Dueck is a sweet tempered cat who can't wait to meet you!

VOKRA’s mission is to end cat overpopulation and homelessness. We rescue, heal, then place cats - first in our network of foster homes, then in carefully matched, loving, forever homes. We are a passionate, volunteer-driven charity with extensive cat care experience. We believe that no kill is the only responsible approach to rescue, that Trap-Neuter-Return works and that cats are AWESOME!
