My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

What my friends at ACC say about me:

I prefer to call the shots and enjoy coming to you when I'm ready for pets.

I love to be loved, but on my own terms! Let's brush up on some feline body language together!

I'll need daily interaction with you as I get used to my new life.

A volunteer writes: Zeus is a cat with range - from crinkle balls to pouncing on bugs, he can pretty much do it all. He didn't lay his cards on the table at once when he first came in because the first time we met, Zeus picked his head up to look and just as quickly put it right back down. I know now that he was probably just waiting for the right moment. In fact, his previous family said their favorite thing about him is that he's playful (and affectionate!) Zeus plays with crinkle balls like it's a work assignment with dutiful cuddle and treat breaks. Now back to that right moment, it comes on its own time and sometimes we just have to make it for ourselves, and though Zeus is coming around, he can still feel a bit unsure. He's hoping to find a patient family who will celebrate his crinkle toy cat work and give him another chance at love.
