Meet Scott! Scott is a very playful and affectionate kitty. Although initially shy around new people, a slow introduction gets him to open up. Once comfortable, he enjoys being around his people, and purrs when he sees the people he loves. If you're doing something, he likes to see what's going on too. Be careful where you walk, because Scott is probably right by your feet! Scott's favourite pasttimes include zooming around the house, climbing to the highest part of the cat tower, or looking out the window. You can also catch him running around with a toy in his mouth and chasing ping pong balls. Scott may have a shy demeanor, but he is actually a silly goofball and loving kitty. Just give him a bit of time to know you.

May be adopted as a single kitten or as a buddy.

1.
Submit Application

Before submitting an application, we ask that you review the information on cat care and our policies here: https://www.vokra.ca/adopt

2.
Interview

Our adoption counsellors focus on educating our adopters on cat care. Once approved, they use a matching process to find your perfect pet.

3.
Meet the Pet

When you find a kitty you like, you will arrange an appointment with the foster home - where the kitty feels most comfortable and confident.

4.
Sign Adoption Contract

Our adoptions contract process includes reviewing critical cat care information and providing contacts for post-adoption advice.

5.
Take the Pet Home

Woo hoo! You will be expected to take the kitty to a free post-adoption vet check within 2 weeks, and follow up on any required vet care.

Additional adoption info

Each year more than 1,400 cats and kittens are adopted through VOKRA. We're always here after the adoption if you need ongoing advice.

Response times can vary, depending on the time of year and available volunteer resources. Applications and help requests for non-emergency issues will usually receive a response in 1-3 days.
