My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How this pet arrived:
This pet was brought in as a stray.

Why this pet is the one for you:
Charlotte is a calm and friendly female Husky who is a delight to have around. Charlotte is easy going, adding to her appeal as a well-mannered companion. She shows signs of prior house training and consistently demonstrates her sweet disposition, making her a wonderful addition to any home seeking a loving and serene canine friend. Like many seniors, she comes with a few health needs that will require management, including dental care. A visit to your vet will help set up a plan for her long-term care. Is Charlotte the one your heart desires? If so, bring a leash, collar, and get ready to welcome her into your home today!

At SDHS:
This pet has been vaccinated, microchipped and spayed/neutered. This pet is now ready for their new home!

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
