My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Starr is a beautiful apricot Standard Poodle. 4 years old and 50 pounds. She is very intelligent and very energetic and needs a family that can keep up with her exercise needs. She is good with other dogs, especially ones her own size.
Starr is AKC registered.

Starr is in Chesed Rescue's Direct from Owner program. This means that she is still living with her current owners and will be adopted directly from them. Chesed will be screening all applications with vet checks and background checks and making introductions. Adopter will be required to bring Starr up to date on her vaccines and testing and have her spayed.

Approved applicants are invited to meet the dog or cat and see if we have a match. If so, next is a home visit & introduction to other pets

Adoption fees range from $75.00 to $400 for a fixed, blood-tested, vaccinated cat/kitten, and $200-$700 for a dog. This includes all age appropriate medical care and microchipping.

More about this rescue

Chesed Foundation, Inc. is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to the rescue and placement of unwanted animals. “Chesed” is often translated as “loving kindness”. Acts qualify as “chesed” when they are motivated by a spirit of generosity, not obligation.

Chesed is a small rescue, where we get to know each animal as an individual. Our placements focus on not just finding excellent homes, but excellent homes that are the right fit for each pet. Our adoption criteria is strict. We work hard to get these pets to safety, we donate many hours to their care, and will not settle for anything less that a great home for their future.

In addition to our adoption and education programs, we manage the Kobi center, which provides those less fortunate or those on a fixed income with necessary pet supplies, food and medications.
