My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Winky, the courageous little boy from the Pacman litter who's ready to capture your heart! Like the determined hero of the classic arcade game, this stunning Russian Blue mix faces every challenge with unwavering spirit. His sleek, silvery coat gleams as he navigates his world, embodying the resilience that makes him truly special.

Winky's zest for life is nothing short of inspiring. Despite an eye injury that will undergo surgery prior to adoption, this brave little fellow doesn't let anything dampen his enthusiasm. He approaches each day with the same vigor as his siblings, proving that true joy comes from within. Whether he's swatting at a feather toy or chasing a ping pong ball, Winky turns playtime into a celebration of life.

In his foster home, Winky and his littermates are exploring a maze of new experiences, including two little resident dogs. While he might occasionally pause with a soft hiss, his indomitable curiosity soon takes over as he investigates these potential new friends. This adaptability showcases Winky's ability to thrive in various home environments.

As Winky levels up his kitten skills, he's unlocking new achievements in affection. This sweet boy is discovering the joys of gentle pets and quiet cuddles. He's growing more comfortable relaxing in open spaces, a testament to his trust and positive outlook. With a little more time and love, Winky will soon be a champion of lap-snuggling and purr-fection.

Adoption note: To ensure their continued happiness and well-being, we will adopt out the Pacman kittens in pairs. This policy helps them thrive by providing a familiar playmate and constant companion in their new home. Since Winky's sibling Clyde and Lizzy were recently adopted, Winky is available to go  home with  his brother Inky.

Are you ready to welcome this inspiring little warrior and his sibling into your home? Adopt Winky today and let the adventure of a lifetime begin!

More about this rescue

Rescue, Retrain, Redeem, and Re-home.
Redemption Road Rescue Rehab Inc (aka R4) is a 501(c)(3), not-for-profit organization based in Lake County, Illinois. R4 functions as an all-breed and ages, dog and cat rescue that specializes in behavioral training and rehabilitation. We are a professionally operated nonprofit dog and cat rescue run by certified dog trainers. We believe the solution to “difficult” animals cannot just be euthanasia. Our mission is to place dogs and cats that have undergone our rehabilitation program with responsible, reliable, and devoted owners. Our training specialty is centered in dog behaviors and understanding the canine mind. We take in all breeds, all ages and work with domesticated felines and feral cat colonies as well. Our expectations of adopters: 1- Consider the animal as an individual with their own personality and behaviors. 2- Be willing to learn, ask questions, and implement training into their daily routine. 3- Work alongside our team to prepare their home to provide the best environment for their new family member. R4 is 100% volunteer-run and foster-based and relies on donations, fundraisers, grants, and sponsorships to allow our organization to fulfill our mission to animals in need.
