Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Cow is a beautiful female Calico kitten who was brought to the HSOV on May 28, 2024 along with her mother (Martha) and her four siblings (Chicklit, Donkey, Goat, and Pig). Cow and her sisters/brother were 8-10 weeks old at that time. Mother Martha had given birth to her babies in a barn not far from our shelter and needed a little help to continue raising her family since she didn't have a way to provide food for them or keep them safe.
Thankfully one of our fabulous foster mothers (Lynn Bostrom) offered this family a temporary foster home on May 29th where they would receive extra TLC and have plenty of good food.
Cow has a black/orange/white short smooth coat in a calico pattern, a long tail, and a beautifully-marked face with golden eyes, a black velvet nose, and long black whiskers.
Cow and her siblings came back to HSOV on August 19th so that they would be ready for their spay/neuter 'road trip' bright and early the next morning.
Cow was given vaccinations on August 19, 2024.
Cow was spayed on August 20, 2024 and was also given rabies vaccine. She is a petite young lady who weighed 3.13 lbs that day.
Cow (and her sisters/brother) are currently in our HSOV Jungle Room where they are ready to find fabulous homes. Naturally we'd love to see them adopted in pairs since kittens do so much better with a friend/playmate.
Update from Cow's Foster Mother: "Cow is a little special; she has a mild case of CH (cerebellar hypoplasia). Generally, it just means she's a little wobbly. But she jumps and climbs and plays like her siblings -- it doesn't slow her down at all. Like the rest of her siblings, she has learned to love the loves, and is happy for cuddles once she's expended some of her energy. She especially loves to climb and pounce, and she'd probably do best with a kitty companion. Come see this beautiful, sweet girl for yourself!"
Cow was adopted on October 1, 2024. Unfortunately Cow lost her home and was returned to HSOV on January 31, 2025. She is once again looking for a home with a special someone who will give her the care and love that she deserves.
