My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Fanta is a sweet ginger girl with a coat in delightful shades of caramel and butterscotch. She's an affectionate and curious kitten, always eager to confidently explore new spaces and discover every nook and cranny of the room. High-energy and playful, Fanta loves to chase and wrestle with her foster brother Ferrero (KRLA-A-6643), often racing around the house until she's panting from excitement. The sound of her tiny paws thumping up and down the stairs is a regular soundtrack in her home. She adores batting around springs and toy mice, proudly carrying them in her mouth after a successful "hunt. Despite her lively nature, Fanta has a tender side. When she's tired, she'll come to your lap for snuggles and pets, and she enjoys napping or sleeping close to her human, where she feels safe and loved. Because of her young age Fanta needs to be adopted with another young kitten or to a home with a young cat or kitten.

We adopt animals to homes in the Los Angeles area and neighboring counties.
Our cat adoption questionnaire https://kittenrescue.org/adopt/cat-adoption-form/ is first step of our adoption process, which also includes a home visit, the signing of an adoption contract, and payment of our adoption fee.
Adoption Fees
$150 for a kitten or cat up to 10 years old, or $250 if you adopt a pair.
Cats above 10 years old have a fee reduction of 50%, for an adoption fee of $75 each.
Our dog adoption fee depends on the dog breed and age.

Many of our kitties live in foster homes and can be visited at one of our four weekly adoption events or by arranging directly with the foster.

More about this rescue

Kitten Rescue is a non-profit, volunteer-run organization devoted to finding loving homes for unwanted, homeless cats and kittens. We rescue cats and kittens from the streets of Los Angeles and from City Shelter euthanasia. Since our start in 1997, we have grown into one of the largest, most well-respected animal welfare groups in LA.

Kitten Rescue volunteers adopt out over 2,000 cats and kittens into homes every year. We educate the public about responsible pet guardianship, how to care for kittens and cats, and the importance of spaying and neutering. Kitten Rescue makes educational material available via events, print, school presentations and here on our website. We also provide Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) assistance for communities in and around Los Angeles, and teach people how to manage and care for feral cat colonies.
