Meet Furiosa, a rare orange tabby femme fatale with a comeback story. Furiosa sensed her new neighbor was an animal lover and wandered up to her one warm August morning for food and water. She was extremely thin and her rescuer suspected she'd recently had a litter of kittens, too. With no other home or caretaker identified, her rescuer pulled her in for TNR. She was identified to be post partum and FIV +, which we suspect is a consequence of being outdoors. Rest assured FIV is not a death sentence nor should it detract from her ability to live a full and healthy life. There's been so much more research completed on what FIV is and the outcomes associated to its diagnoses. FCS has dealt with it plenty, so check out our blog here:

Since being inside recuperating, Furiosa has flourished with TLC, put on weight, become a deeper shade of orange, and is a biscuit making queen. She trusts her human and is able to relax, head butt and chat. She purrs frequently and loves spending time with her hooman. Furiosa also met the resident dog and seemed undeterred.
Furiosa is a strong reminder of our mission at FCS, and how critical sterilization and compassion is for our feline friends. She would make a lovely addition to a home that wants to welcome in a comeback kit.
