Name: Tommy D

Tommy D is looking to steal your heart
*** Tommy D came into the rescue with an injury to his right rear foot. It is believed that he was born missing several toes and acquired a separate injury. Tommy completed treatments to the wound and has been cleared for adoption. It appears that new paw pads are growing and that he uses the leg well, however as it is healing the skin is more sensitive and he may benefit from a boot as protection. He may benefit from this as he continues to grow. We are unable to predict what will develop with his foot in the future, any treatments going forward would be the adopter’s responsibility.
Foster Home Feedback
10/12/24 Sitter Feedback: I had the privilege of watching little Tommy while his foster family was away. He is an adorable little chap; funny, curious and cuddly. I have a large, quite dominant house wolfie (Working Line German Shepherd) and Tommy found his way to make friends, taking good cues on when to back off.
Tommy is kennel trained (he did cry a little on his first night with us, which is totally normal) and sleeps through the night. Having a frozen Kong with some yummy treats helps a lot with kenneling during the day. He did not have any accidents while with us, but we do stick to a potty schedule with him. Tommy enjoys working for his food and he excelled in “sit” and ‘down." His continued education should include stay and come (his recall is not bad, but not yet rock solid). This boy deserves the best family out there. He is absolutely adorable!
10/3/24 Foster Feedback: Tommy D is your typical happy-go-lucky pup, full of curiosity and enthusiasm. He adores his foster brother and sister and has quickly figured out their personalities—he knows which one loves to cuddle and which one is always up for some playtime and wrestling.
Tommy is doing well with potty training, especially when kept on a routine. At night, he sleeps in a kennel next to our bed, but when we want to sleep in, he's more than happy to hop onto the bed and snuggle up with us.
The injury to his foot has healed really well and while Tommy may never be a runner or rock climber he gets around well and it doesn’t hinder him in his day-to-day activities.
Tommy is a sweet, happy puppy who has so much love to give. He’s looking for his forever home where he can continue to thrive and share goofy personality!
