My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Maggie is a stunning Californian bunny with a big personality. She came to OHRR after being placed on the owner surrender list, and her journey to health and happiness has been nothing short of remarkable. Unfortunately, Maggie’s previous owners kept her outside in a wire-bottomed cage, which led to some treatable health issues when she first arrived at the Center, including sneezing, an oral abscess, and heightened hormonal behavior due to never being spayed.

When Maggie first came to OHRR, she was understandably defensive. Her discomfort from untreated health issues and possibly rough treatment by her former humans made her wary, and she occasionally expressed her fear by biting volunteers. But everything changed after Maggie received the care she needed. With treatment for her ailments and a spay surgery to balance her hormones, Maggie transformed into a completely different bunny.

Now, Maggie is a volunteer favorite! She eagerly rushes to the front of her pen to greet her favorite volunteers and ask for pets. Her big heart shines through in her affectionate nature, and she’s ready to bring joy and companionship to her forever home. Maggie is the type of bunny that could be someone’s entire world, and she’s looking for that special person who will make her theirs.
