Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Piglet is an adorable little boy who lives up to his name. You may remember his namesake as an adorable little character in the “Winnie-the-poo” stories. Our Piglet spent his first months in the adoption room buried in a cushion. In fact, as volunteers, we would think he must have been adopted, because we couldn’t find him. But the staff assured us that he was in fact in room. Eventually, he started to poke his nose out, and we found him to be a little sweetheart who loves people and being pet. More weeks past, and he even ventured out of his hiding spot to start meeting more people. Just like Piglet in the children’s books, he found his love of friends gave him the courage to open up to life. He will need special people to adopt him to give him tons of time and affection so he can adapt to his new world. He needs a quiet home, so children and boisterous dogs or cats would be too much for him. If you think that you are his “special person”, come meet Piglet in the Teal adoption room. Piglet has tested positive for the Feline Immunodeficiency virus(FIV), and although he can live a long and healthy life, adopters need to commit to keeping him healthy by absolutely never letting him outside, and just like with any cat, seek vet assistance if he were to show any signs of illness, as he may require antibiotics to address any issues. For questions about FIV please consult with the shelter staff.
