For Adopt a Pet and the PEDIGREE® brand, October is all about finding homes for dogs in shelters. Adopt this month for a PEDIGREE® Wet Food Pouch and a chance to win a Homecoming-style photo shoot and shelter donation.
If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Meet our girl, Izzie! She’s a 5-year-old spayed female Australian Shepherd who is microchipped and up to date on all her vaccinations, with the next ones due in July 2025. Izzie is currently on Purina Hydrolyzed (Rx) food and enjoys regular grooming.
Izzie absolutely adores people and is the best door greeter around! She thrives on companionship and is happiest when she’s with her family. Smart and eager to please, she knows commands like sit, lay, shake, and kennel up for treats. Plus, she loves to cuddle!
Unfortunately, our one-year-old daughter’s curiosity makes Izzie a bit uncomfortable. We want both Izzie and our toddler to be in environments where they can thrive, so we’ve made the tough decision to rehome her.
Izzie would do best in a home without young children. She’s a fantastic dog who deserves a loving space where she feels safe.
She will come with her cage, bowl, water dispenser, leash, collar, and a bag of food.
