My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

**This is a courtesy listing for Frosted Faces Vintage Paws Rescue. Email us at chitownrescue@gmail.com for more info/meet and greet appointment.**

Meet Zach! Zach is an approximately one-year-old, 50-pound Cattle Dog, looking for a forever home. Zach was found with another dog, hanging out in the shade of a tree outside, in this scorching summer weather. He was outside for days and unfortunately no owner came to claim them, despite online posts. Zach and his pal Zara were brought to Frosted Faces Rescue where they will hopefully find their forever families! Nothing more is known about Zach's past, but he clearly was someone's dog at some point; Zach is leash-trained and already knows "sit" and "paw". He is a friendly guy with classic Cattle Dog energy and smarts, as well as a gorgeous white and black spotted coat. Zach is happy to meet a new human friend and loves a good back scratch. He enjoys chasing tennis balls, going on walks, and splashing in the play pool or chasing and biting at a stream of water from the hose. Zach does well with the dog he was found with, and could potentially do well with your dog at home too. Please plan on bringing them to the shelter for a meet and greet prior to adoption. We do not know how Zach does with smaller dogs, or cats.

We aren't sure what happened to land such an amazing dog on the streets and homeless, but their loss- YOUR gain! Zach is an amazing young dog who will make his new family so happy. Send us an email to chitownrescue@gmail.com for more info/meet and greet appointment. Zach's adoption fee includes neuter surgery, microchip, Rabies certificate, and up to date vaccinations.

More about this rescue

"Chi Town" is short for "Chihuahua Town," which is our nick-name because we found that the majority of animals we were rescuing happened to be Chihuahuas and literally have a little “town” comprised of Chihuahuas! Chihuahuas are one of the most over-bred dogs in Arizona and unfortunately many end up in need of rescue. However, we are not limited to saving just Chihuahas, we do save other breeds dependent on availability of space. Chi Town also specializes in rescuing dogs who require a little extra TLC and are at risk of euthanasia at county shelters. These dogs may not be doing well for a variety of reasons- fear, fear aggression, anxiety, or a medical issue to name a few. These are the dogs that typically have no other outlet and for which time is of the essence . After our dogs are medically cleared and/or their behavioral issues have improved, they are available for adoption.

Please be aware that we do our very best to answer all questions in a timely manner.

We are always seeking to help promote these special Chihuahuas who are too often overlooked in AZ shelters due to the sheer volume of this breed. Please share and like us on Facebook:
