Meet Smedley - AKA “Smeds”!!!
Smedley is a very chill, fluffy love cat looking for a special home. Smedley is a “trust fund” cat whose current owner will provide his new family with substantial support to help ensure Smedley’s health and well being for his lifetime. More about that later. For now, meet Smeds!
Smeds is a mellow cat. He’s a quiet boy that does most of his communicating with his eyes and body, though he’s not above the occasional meow should he require something from his people.
While Smeds will enjoy the occasional “lap nap”, he has never been comfy on human furniture like couches, chairs, or beds, instead preferring his own cat trees or beds for hanging out in a window sunbeam, napping, or scratching. He loves playtime – always with toys, never with hands – and watching him enjoy the zoomies is pure happiness.
Smeds has never been inclined to do annoying cat things like knocking things over, scratching where he shouldn’t, or waking his hoomans as they sleep.
Smeds has spent his life as an indoor cat in an adult home where he has enjoyed a life of gentle affection, love, and respect – he’s not shy about asking for affection or playtime, and his owner always let him choose when to engage. Smedley has his own language for such desires, and it won’t be long before you’ll learn his lingo.
Given his gentle history, his owner feels he would do best indoors in an adult home where he would be the only indoor critter. Ideally, he will not be left alone for long periods of time.
Smeds is currently being fostered in Castle Rock, CO as his owner works to find him his new life. He quickly settled into his foster home with his foster hoomans and has made himself and them quite comfortable and happy as he awaits….YOU!
Smedley’s Trust offers substantial wellness support as well as a lot more. Below is a list of some of the benefits available to his new family. His owner will be happy to discuss all of the trust benefits in greater detail when Smedley finds his match!
Smedley is current on his vaccines; he’s due late in the year for his annual checkup and dental exams/cleaning. He lost two teeth to resorption last year; all of his remaining teeth were unaffected. While it may not recur, his annual dental exam/cleaning will ensure Smedley remains happy and pain free. His trust will cover the costs related to any future dental extractions should they become necessary.
Should he find his family before his owner gets his annual checkup done, his trust will cover the costs for these services post-adoption.
Smedley’s owner looks forward to hearing from you!!
