My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Aspen is a sweet and incredibly playful puppy who has overcome a rough beginning. He is a charming and affectionate mixed-breed puppy who has triumphed over a challenging start to life. His mother was tragically shot when Aspen and his littermates were only a few days old. Fortunately, they were rescued from a storm drain in Donna, Texas, where they were found huddled together for warmth and safety. Despite the difficult circumstances, Aspen has shown remarkable resilience and spirit. Now, he is eagerly looking forward to finding a loving forever home where he can share his boundless energy and affection. With his endearing nature, Aspen is certain to bring a bounty of joy and laughter as he snuggles, playfully shadows your every move, and embodies all the delightful qualities of a young and spirited puppy.

DISCLAIMER- Breed type is determined based on general appearance and behavioral characteristics and cannot be guaranteed unless DNA test results or AKC registration were provided at intake.

***Aspen is FOSTERED IN TEXAS, BUT AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION AND TRANSPORT OUT OF STATE. Read below for more information.

Our dogs are transported to a predetermined location agreed upon by the rescue. The adoption contract and fee are finalized prior to transport. As a Pep's Pals Rescue direct adoption, the adoption interview/meet and greet occurs on video call (Skype, FB Messenger call, Facetime, etc).

Our adoption fee is $400 each plus health certificate and transport (varies by location). This fee includes all current vaccinations, deworming, microchip (additional $12.99 registration fee required at time of adoption), fecal analysis, spay/neuter for dogs 6 months & older (if under 6 months, $100 of adoption fee is returned to adopter when proof of mandatory spay/neuter is provided to us at 6 months of age), and a heartworm test if over 6 months old. All dogs are current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention. A health exam will be completed and a health certificate issued by a veterinarian within 10 days of transport.

Pep's Pals Rescue is committed to rescuing shelter & street dogs and cats then finding them forever homes. All dogs and cats deserve to live their lives showered with the love they deserve.
Pep's Pals is named after Pepper, a lab who gave so much love to the founder of Pep's Pals and her family. We carry on his legacy by loving and caring for the dogs & cats who need to know what it is like to be a part of a family. Pepper was kind to every human and fur friend he met. We believe that's how Pepper would want us to carry out our mission.
