My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

*** Smudge is at The Cat Cafe. ***

Black & white bicolor, short hair, spayed female, born approx. 1/1/23, #19090

Cats: comfortable
Dogs: potentially
Children: gentle kids okay

A very pregnant Smudge showed up on the porch of an animal-lover; he took her in and she shortly gave birth to these lovely kittens. Wanting a good life for the family, he reached out to The Rescue House. Smudge's kittens are independent of her now and starting to find their homes, and now it's her turn!

Smudge is a young mom who acts like a kitten herself! She would run around with her babies acting more like their big sister. Her favorite toys are feather wands, laser lights, and little toy mice she can toss around. This sweetie purrs at first pet and as she gets to know specific people she will progress from sitting right next to you for chin scritches (most people) to crawling in your lap for cuddles (her people). Smudge will also roll over to ask you for belly rubs and gaze up at you to make sure you know to keep scritching. Smudge loves attention and will meow for extra treats and pets. She's a very gentle and sweet girl who is a fabulous companion.

Smudge is comfortable with other cats. She has been a bit wary but not alarmed by the resident dogs in her foster home; they have not mingled directly but she has seen them from a separated area. She's great with the teenagers she's met and if treated gently would likely do well with younger kids.

Smudge is a winner! Will she win your heart?
