Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Rosie is a sweet 8 year old girl who was picked up as a stray by Yuma Humane Society in June. She came to our rescue as she needed a dental. Her dental was was so extreme that she lost 17 teeth, including one K-9 that was embedded up into her nasal passage. When she went back later to be spayed, her foster mom and vet found 3 benign masses that were removed. This sweet girl was so uncomfortable and likely in pain for a long time. She is like a new girl now!
Rosie is very sweet but a bit shy when meeting new people. She is doing well with potty training when someone is home. When her foster parents are not home, she does well as long as she is in her pen. Having the entire house to herself makes her nervous. She does great with other small dogs and does well with respectful large dogs. She enjoys meeting new people but does not enjoy seeing the vet!
Rosie loves following her foster mom around the house. Her ideal home would be one where there is an available lap for her to curl up in, or at least a dog bed close to where you are in the house. She just wants to be with you!

We require an application and a home visit prior to all of our adoptions. We do adopt out of state, and may have a representative from another rescue complete the home visit for us. Once the home visit is completed and approved, the dog is available for you to adopt! While this sounds like a lengthy process, it actually is often completed in a day or two. We have an adoption contract that is filled out at the time of adoption, along with adoption fee's collected at that time.
Our adoption fee's are
Under 1yr: $250
1yr to 9yrs: $200
10yrs and up: $150

We are a nonprofit, 501(C)(3), all volunteer, limited admission small dog rescue organization funded by private donations and adoption fees. We are a group of individuals who are dedicated to rescuing small breed dogs who have been abandoned, abused, neglected or left behind by their former owners. Our belief is that companion animals are living beings who are not merely "pets" but family members. We strive to find homes for them who share this view. We are committed to providing them with a temporary home where they receive veterinary care, including spay or neuter, socialization, exercise, love and good nutrition until their forever home can be found. We do not discriminate against small dogs based on breed or physical disability.
Mini Mighty Mutts is a limited admissions rescue. We can only take in as many animals as our foster homes can safely and responsibly care for. We do not euthanize animals to make room for more. We simply stop taking in new animals until we have room. Each homeless dog will remain in our care until he or she finds a new home.
