My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Rosie, a sweet survivor ready for her forever home! Rosie is a 2.5 month old large mixed breed puppy that is the sole survivor of a litter of 9 that was found dumped in a trash bag at Lake Lowell when they were just days old.

"Hi there! I'm Rosie. Life hasn't been easy for me so far, but thanks to my incredible foster family, I'm now a happy, healthy pup with a bright future ahead. My early days were tough, and I didn't have much fight left in me. But with a lot of love and care, I've gained a love for life and I'm excited to live it.

I may not have had the chance to learn the ropes of puppyhood from my siblings or a mama dog, so I'm a bit of a late bloomer when it comes to learning the ways of the canine world. That's why I'm looking for someone with a big heart and plenty of patience to help me grow into the best dog I can be. A home with another friendly dog would be perfect for me. I'd love to have a furry friend to learn from and play with.

With a bit of patience and lots of love, I promise to be a loyal and devoted friend for life. Can't wait to meet you and start our new adventure together!"

Rosie is up to date on vaccines, flea and parasite treated, microchipped, spayed and ready to go home today!

Rosie is currently being adopted out of a foster home. If you'd like to meet her, please reach out to Anna at binghama00@gmail.com

More about this shelter

West Valley Humane Society is an open-admission animal shelter in Southern Idaho. Serving all of Canyon County, and surrounding areas. We take in the stray, surrendered, abandoned, neglected animals in our community. In 2017, we took in 7,778 animals. We believe that every animal deserves a second chance.

We contract with the cities of Nampa, Caldwell and Canyon County to house stray and owner surrender animals that their ACO's, or the general public, bring to us.
