Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Max, a 6-month-old, 30-pound bundle of energy and sweetness! Max was found on the street and lovingly cared for in a foster home before coming to our rescue. He’s a smart pup who learns quickly and is friendly with both people and other dogs. He loves to be around others.
Max enjoys getting in on the action, especially when his foster siblings are receiving attention, and he’s always ready to join in the fun. He’s a toy lover who prefers having every toy out of the box, just in case the perfect one is needed! Max is still mastering the art of leash walking, but is already an enthusiastic participant in outdoor playtime, whether it’s solo or with friends.
At his foster home, Max wasn’t allowed in the kitchen when meals were being prepared, and he respected that rule well. He also enjoyed sharing a cozy space in the living room with his furry foster siblings, where they all slept together. Max gets very excited about food, so he’s learning patience and boundaries during mealtime.
Max is ready to bring joy, love, and a bit of playful mischief to his forever home! IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.
Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adopt
All of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.
ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location.
Petfinder lists our pets as "Out of Town" pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. You can read more about transport here: www.charmingpetrescue.org/transport
We understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.

More about this rescue
We're a home-based rescue, so there's always someone around to care for the dogs. Most of our dogs are allowed to roam the main yard (as long as they behave themselves), and we have several food and water stations throughout. Every evening, the dogs are tucked into our kennel building with soft bedding.
Our focus is family-friendly dogs who get along with everyone. Of course, we sometimes don't know a dog's temperament until we meet, but we work hard to ensure dogs are going to the right homes for them.
Mission Statement
To provide rescue, rehabilitation and new loving homes for dogs that have been living on the street, abused, abandoned and removed from high kill shelters.
