My name is Duke!

Duke was adopted from animal friends of the valley in July at 12 weeks old. He may have been mistreated there as he came to our house very skittish. Because of this we do not want to return him to the shelter. He is very energetic, he recently broke his leg jumping around and we have been working with his vet to help him heal from that injury.

He is very good with other dogs including another dog living in the house and he loves to play. He is very good with our family to include three kids, he seems very trainable and loves to cuddle.

Unfortunately he is not good at all with strangers to include adults and kids, he gets very anxious around strangers both in our house and in public, ultimately resulting in him biting one of our kids friends.

Duke needs a more calm environment to live in where he does not feel anxious with kids and their friends coming and leaving the house all of the time. He is a really good dog, but the environment in our home is not good for him.
