My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Gypsie!
Gypsie is a beautiful 4-year-old Spanish Greyhound Labrador Retriever mix with a sleek, short brown
coat adorned with tan markings and a unique white stripe on her tail. Her caramel-brown eyes reflect
both her gentle nature and her adventurous spirit. Medium-sized and graceful, Gypsie is ready for any
adventure life brings!
Personality and Traits:
Gypsie is the perfect mix of affection and independence. She’s full of energy and enjoys scaling rocky
terrain or going on a long hike, making her an ideal partner for outdoor enthusiasts who enjoy rock
climbing or rugged trails. She’s agile and nimble, with the endurance to match. Gypsie’s loving side
shines through in her love for belly rubs and snuggles, showing her affectionate nature when she bonds
with her humans. While she’s friendly with other dogs and people, she may be a little nervous at first
introduction, but warms up quickly if her best friend Spot is beside her. Because of her independent
tendencies and lack of food-motivation, she’ll need extra care and guidance in training for basic
obedience and manners.
Special Considerations:
Gypsie and Spot are a bonded pair, and they must be adopted together, as they get stressed when
separated. Gypsie’s adventurous side means she can be an escape artist and door dasher, so a secure
play area and dedicated training to help her learn boundaries are important. Due to her energy level,
mental and physical stimulation are key for her well-being.
Ideal Home:
Gypsie is looking for an active home that can give her the exercise and attention she craves. Whether it’s
exploring new hiking paths or joining you for a climbing day, she’s ready to be your adventure buddy. A
home that’s patient, secure, and willing to welcome both her and Spot with open arms will be perfect for
them to thrive and feel loved.
Why Adopt Gypsie?
Gypsie’s cuddly and adventurous nature will fill your life with exploration and excitement. By adopting
Gypsie and Spot, you’re bringing home two best friends who will reward you with endless joy and
devotion

Go meet their pets

Thank you for your interest in adopting from West Valley City/Taylorsville Animal Services! We would love for you to come to the shelter and meet your new family member.

You can come to the shelter Monday through Friday between 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm and walk through to see the animals we have available for adoption.

Please keep in mind that adoptions are first come, first serve. We often have a few pets that would make a good match for each family, so if the animal you are interested in is no longer available, you can still come in and meet some animals to see if there's a good fit.

You can see all of our animals at www.wvcpets.com [wvcpets.com]
