Edie is a stunning golden girl with a heart of gold, and ready to bring warmth and love into your life. At just a year old and 55 lbs, Edie is a gentle soul who may be shy at first, but with a little patience, she quickly blossoms into the most loyal and affectionate companion you could ever wish for.
Once she feels safe and loved, Edie will become your "Velcro" pup, always by your side, eager to shower you with affection, including some sweet hugs and kisses. She's playful and full of joy once she gets to know you, making every day brighter with her sweet, happy spirit. She seemed interested in a pup next to us through the fence in a playful way. She did all of her bathroom business outside so was avoiding going in her kennel which is a good sign for a potential adopter for house training!
With her bright eyes, perky ears, and soft, healthy coat, Edie is as beautiful on the outside as she is on the inside. She's ready to find a home where she can truly shine-could that be with you?

Shelby Humane is an open intake facility in Shelby County Alabama. SH takes in over 5000 animals a year. We provide an adoption program, low-cost spay/neuter program, and low-cost vaccination and microchip clinics throughout the County. In 2018, we launched Shelby SafePet, which provides veterinary care and boarding to pets of domestic violence victims.
