My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Introducing Willow!

These sweet girl came to AFRP after being diagnosed with parvo from Hitchcock Road Animal Services. Now fully recovered, Willow is on the lookout for her furever home!

Willow is a bundle of joy who's always ready for fun and adventure! She's the happiest puppy around, with a big love for humans and animals! Out on walks, she's a pro on her harness, but if she spots another dog or a friendly face, her excitement takes over, and she might just pull you along to say hello but her foster mom is helping her work on that! Willow is as smart as she is playful, and while she's eager to learn, her puppy energy means she needs plenty of training and activities to keep her busy.

Fetch is her absolute favorite game, and if there's a ball in sight, she'll be right there, eyes sparkling and ready to play! When it's time to relax, Willow's all about snuggles. Whether you're sitting or lying down, she'll wiggle her way into your lap for some cozy cuddle time. She loves hanging out with her doggie roommates, going on walks with her foster mom, and, of course, playing fetch until she's all tuckered out. Willow's a fun-loving, snuggle-seeking, ball-chasing bundle of happiness!

Willow will come with a requirement for pre-registration to general obedience or puppy training within three months of her adoption.

Willow's ideal adopters is with active adult-adopters or families with children over the age of six. She would love to have another playful dog in the home and would do fine with a dog-savvy cat in the home. Willow may also be fine as the only dog, given she is provided with enough enrichment and activity by her owners.

Willow is currently in foster care and meet and greets can be arranged once your online application has been received and approved. Visit www.animalfriendsrescue.org for our online dog application.

Additional adoption info

Adoption fees help to cover the cost of the care the animal has received during their time with us, including spay/neuter, vaccines, microchipping, deworming, and flea treatment and basic foster care.

All potential adopters complete an application and are screened using a standardized series of questions by a trained adoption counselor. If the application and screening are satisfactory, a qualified adopter can complete a contract, pay the adoption fee and take the animal home.
